About Adlan Taramov
Neighbourhood Roots: Hamilton resident since 2015, passionately devoted to preserving Ward 8's green spaces, Escarpment trails, and vibrant community life.
Grassroots Advocacy: Lifelong commitment to helping vulnerable populations, from advocating at a refugee school to front-line work as an interpreter at the COSTI Immigrant Reception Centre.
Public Service Experience: Over 10 years of hands-on experience solving community problems in provincial (MPP) and federal (MP) constituency offices, and within federal government operations at IRCC.
Small Business Owner: Founder and CEO of Starboard Immigration Services Inc. (RCIC-IRB), fighting for clients and navigating complex legal regulations daily.
Education: Holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science & History and a Master’s in Public Policy, International Relations, and Criminology from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto.
Personal Background: Came to Canada as a refugee in 2004 after enduring war and displacement in Chechnya; deeply proud of Canadian values of kindness, opportunity, and democratic accountability.
Community Life: Pianist, reader, soccer and tennis enthusiast, and avid hiker along Hamilton’s conservation trails.
